Education
I am currently a Computer Science Major at Cal Poly Pomona. Eventually I would like to go into the field of computer networking, specifically a Network Engineer or Administrator position. I have taught myself HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP as well as some basics in a few other languages and the challenge of coding is something I continually enjoy pitting myself against.
Employment
I work at the Thematic Attic, a small teacher supply store in Covina. Our store provides various supplies and resources for parents and teachers to help improve the learning experience of students. In addition to the normal assisting customers etc, I maintain the store website and help plan and present our weekly "Science Friday" workshops.
Hobbies and Interests
I have been an avid rail-fan all my life and enjoy the model railroad hobby. I enjoy building model of trains, both from scratch and from kits. The effort and challenge that building model trains requires is, to me, the most important part of the hobby. You can see some of the models I have built in the Trains/Models section of this website.
Outside of school and work, I volunteer at the Fairplex Garden Railroad as an Area Lead during the year and a Primary Operator during the LA County Fair and other "Run-Days."
I also enjoy photography, hiking/backpacking, badminton, raquetball, hanging out with my girlfriend and my friends, and a host of other activities.
